Christ has Risen! ...or was that Peter Cottontail?

Happy Easter to all!
I realized that one of the many cool things about having your own blog is that you can be as un-PC as you wanna be! Of course I am not out to just offend someone for the hell of it, but if it is something I believe in...okay...or something that just sounds funny like "Christ has Risen!"...then anything goes.

Easter sidenote: Noel was so cute this week...he dyed his first Easter eggs ever! And did a great job, working the PAAS kit! He said "my peeps don't do this weird traditions where I come from"...hee hee.
Any who... I am SOOOO excited that I am about to go to the airport for the warm (atleast waremer) skies of Vallarta. I sure miss my 'other' home, south of the border! I am thrilled to leave the rat race of Nordy's and Seattle, and chill, and I am ecstatic to hang with Noel for a week straight, and Terry too for that matter...but maybe most of all, can't wait to see my PV peeps! Damn I have missed Bean (Deana), Trix (Tracy D.), Vanny (Vanessa), Susan & hubby (Amy & Ben), Tanyacita, Luisito, Edson (who is in Canada), and everyone else from my Mexican family...Ana Margarita, Miguel, Amaranta, Karin, Isel, Donna, Len, Larry...and the list goes on! LOTS more on the trip later...

This was a stressful crazy, but awesome week which ended with Shelly arriving from NYC via LA, Vegas and San Fran. So we met up at El Camino in Fremont with Smelly Cat and her friends Daisy and Clarke, who I also love...and had lots of Margaritas and caught up. It's funny Daisy and Clarke live in Seattle, and I love them dearly, but we only seem to see them when Shelly's in town. I need to change that! They crack me up!
Saturday Shelly did a trunk show at Butch Bloom and we had lunch at the market. Then I met up with Shell and Daisy at La Spiga on Cap.Hill for drinks at 7pm...then at 8, we had a little reunion when Noel, Kumi and Tony joined!....We worked Boom Noodle (http://www.boomnoodle.com/), love the atmostphere and food but the service kinda sucked... and then walked down the street to Via Tribunali where Kevin Steward now bartends, and not only he was there but also old friends of Shelly, Kum and I - Matt and Wade. What a fun night! By 11pm the Baruffi's scampered home to the babysitter, and the girls passed out in Fremont...and Noel and I met up at the Metropolitan on Olive for the tailend of Andy's birthday night. From saki earlier, I ended the night with Pabst and shots of Makers whiskey! Yikes!
Love me friends! My friends make me whole..Make me happy! Cheers to them!

A tribute...on this Irish day...

Happy St.Patty's Day! Though that is not what I want to talk about...instead a tribute to an amazing person that was in my life. Exactly one year ago, Mary Sue Morris, my boss and friend passed away and left this world we know. I want to leave the rest of this passage to reflect

Top O' the Mornin' to Ya!

<<< Chicago's green river every March 17th

The Irish icons we all know and love >>>

My mother's great grandmother was from Londonderry, Ireland (just west of Northern Ireland, on the north coast)...which I guess makes me 1/32 Irish (?)
<<< Of course this is the month of the Irish, so more green to come on that subject I suppose.

Finally we are off on Easter, the 23rd to Puerto Vallarta...Noel and I (together there for the first time), and Terry with Brad meeting us from Texas. It should be a blast (as long as I am not stalked by my ex-mother-in-law). Totally more to come on that amazing trip when it gets closer and it the midst of it too!!! I already have plans to me my PV GF's at CC's on the beach, and dinner at the tail end at El Arrayan (http://www.elarrayan.com.mx/ ) with Juliana and Rob (the beginning of their trip and the end of ours). Have fun meeting Juliana but again on foreign soil. Noel has only met my Canadian GF in the UK and now in Mexico. Hilarious!!!!

Stay tuned...
"...Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail, hippitty, hoppity, Easter's on it's way..."
