To widget or not to widget?

I am working on at widget project a work...this is cool, no?

It's such a catch phrase right now in the internet world "widget" or "gadget"...and can mean so many different things, from a viral window of streaming info on your desktop to a free floating entity like this below:

Housewarming Party set for Saturday September 6th!

...look for the evite!

(ooops, did I really invite 72 people?)

So how many people will fit in 1,400 square feet? LOL. Praying for nice weather so there will be spillage over into the yard (for BBQ-ing) and the deck upstairs (for smokage and such). Already a couple peeps like my Dad can't make it due to a wedding, or Mel due to vacation...

It will be a blast and I am so excited to show off the digs, and show how happy and great my life is with my beautiful Noelcito! (and Pugsley and Annabelle too)

Noel is off to the Philippines!

My poor boy, his grandma passed away after being in a coma for two years, along with his dad being in and out of the hospital recently, so on Tuesday Noel booked a flight to Manila for this morning. I drove him to the airport at 5:30am this morning (uhg!) and then 6 hours to Honolulu and another 12 (gulp!) hours to Manila. The sad part, besides me missing him, is that he is coming back on Wednesday which will only give him 3 good days in Tag land with family and friends. He even has a stupid 10 hour lay over in Honolulu on the way back...ALOHA!!!

Stay tuned for Flip updates.

Meanwhile I am going to surprise Noelcito and paint our guest bedroom a vivarant 'Sex-In-The-City' bright robin's egg blue this weekend! Wish me luck...

Ahhh...almost all unpacked

It's such a good feeling after a month of packing, cleaning, painting...waiting for closings...then moving, setting up utilities/bills, and then unpacking...to be done enough to move on with your life. Not everything is perfect yet in our beautiful new townhouse but atleast I found my belts, shorts, cat litter scoop, razr phone hands-free cord, and all that other stupid stuff you take for granted knowing where they are when you need them. This last week, I swear, Noel and I were at the HD (Home Depot) every night after work...if it wasn't buying more shelf brackets for the garage, we were buying NutriGrow or nails for whatever. Don't get me wrong, I love this homeowner thing.

I am totally bonding with my new 'hood Greenlake, but I have to admit I was a little nervous leaving the safe know entity of my Queen Anne/Uptown 'hood. I do miss QA but GL is really nice for running or walking...green lush streets with cute old houses (as long as you don't go west to crack-rora). I am also quickly getting over the fact that I can not just pop into a Bartells or Safeway on foot when ever I want. I am simply changing my mindset. I can Bartells-it 2 blocks from my work downtown, and at our house Safeway-it in Greenwood (8 blocks away) or Roosevelt/Maple Leaf (10 blocks away)...or for that matter Whole-Foods-it 4 blocks from work then schlep to my 358 on 7th. I definitely have it down, 4 ways to go on a 30 minute run and always end up a the GL Starbucks on the east shore. Work it!

Life is good! I am so happy. Happy with Noel, my love. Happy with our beautiful new house (only 6 more boxes and we can fit the car in the garage - LOL), Happy with my job (ok slightly stressful but in a good way), Happy with my friends and family...just happy. My Mom came down to Seattle today and brought a big palm tree for the house. Cool! Then we went to Crate & Barrel to pick up the duvet cover and shams Noel and I ordered, and ended at 6pm with beer in the 80F+ sun at The Ram. Love my Mom. Fun. Last night Heidi, Andy and Lori came over at 7pm for a BBQ of steaks, sole, chicken and sausauges, along with zucchini and portobello mushrooms all on the barbie. We sat around on our little plot of grass in our yard and drank PBR's, laughed and ended the day with strawberry shortcake (extra whipcream for me!)...ahhh, life is good! ...and then there's Pugsley my new step-dog...he's a white fluffy Pom-American Eskimo and A CUTEY! I am not a dog person necessarily but very HAPPY WITH PUGS! (seen here in our new living room)

Lastly, talking about friends...we had a lovely dinner with Paul Linger last Thursday, and I am hoping to connect with many other long lost friends soon...like Dana, Sidira and Brian Brydges. This is a short life we live and we are lucky to have amazing people in our lives...I have some amazing friends and don't get to see them enough. Next up though, Tracy Dysart (one of my bestest PV GF's) is visiting from Vallarta this coming Tuesday the 15th through the 22nd! I am soooo stoked to see her. I missed her in Vallarta in March, and now she is back in the land of the living, and better yet in Seattle. I can not wait for her to meet Noel. Stay tuned for more soon (with Nordy's Anniversary Sale ending this coming week festivities, whewwww)

...and then there's old Annabelle, my love, my stability who makes me very happy! Here she sits in her penthouse, behind the protective baby gate on the 3rd floor, telling me who's boss...her of course... MEEEEOOOOWWWW!!!!!

Happy 4th!

Ok...so I fell off the earth and have only blogged twice in a month...but I have been without my home computer for 2 weeks. Noel was officially moved into our new Greenlake townhouse on June 18th and I on June 21st...but so much has gone on since I don't know where to start?

Highlights?

2 - painting old Queen Anne apartment back to white (painting 'party' with Shane, Chels, Adam and Noel)
3 - pride parade on last Sunday and then pride beer garden at the cuff with not only Evelyn Champagne King singing "Shame" but better yet Expose! Love!!! Check these videos out if you don't remember them...
4 - Baby Shower for Elisha's 2nd girl on Monday with all my old Bon Marche peeps

5 - Way overdue lunch with my beloved Kumi! Missed her so much!

6 - last night...George Michael 25 Live Tour at the Key Arena! HE WAS AWESOME!!!

7 - tomorrow...fireworks at Jo and Lynn's on Lake Union just like last year (thus the goofy pic above)...should be a blast (pun intended)...
