Love my Noelcito!

More on this subject later, or that is, more on my wonderful BF later...but I just wanted to scream from the hills how happy Noel makes me. How special he makes me feel. Our first year anniversary is coming up...and our 2008 is looking grand! Hopefully cohabitating in a beautiful new townhouse together (Ballard? Greenlake? Beacon Hill?)... trips to Walla Walla in February, Vallarta in March, Provencetown in August...and every week great small adventures from Purr on a Friday night, Northgate RAM for 10pm happy hour Wednesdays and sleepovers, Runs at Greenlake, to our Sunday nights with Annabelle and a good DVD. Last fall really sealed the deal for me, for us, with our amazing trip to London and Chicago. No real fights and only love. I just wanna squeeze him tight...that cutey flip!

As a digress...talking about traveling...my 2007 was a wonderful year of trips. I started 2007 staying with Shelly in New York City. There we are at Rockefeller Ice Skating rink...30 ROCK baby! I had a little run in with an Indian, then we had a grand time with two Aussie's until Shelly got kicked out of the swank bar at 4am (reason why I'll leave up to your imagination)...then a great NYE party with a bunch of Flips right by ground zero. New Years day at the Guggenheim, what could be better!

Then skiing with the parentals in February in Sun Valley. Hanging with my Dad and beautiful step-Monster is always a blast... Red or White wine? Their house in the Elkhorn Valley is awesome...nothing like drinking in the hot tub/jacuzzi in the snow under a starry ski. And more family at Easter time at the parentals "wine vineyard get away" in Walla Walla (http://www.wallawallavacationhome.com/amenities.html), yes, I'll take another glass of red!

By June Heidi and I were jet setting to Los Angeles for Kelly's 40th b-day. The whos who of Bravo TV and E!Entertainment were there...did I mention Heidi and I ended up working it as much as we schmoozed it...and I slept on an ottoman in my suit in the fetal position in the maid's quarters (yes, a story there too). But we saw Marisa Tomei, so it was all good.

In July I saw Colorado for the first time, flying with Tracy and visiting Brian Brydges...seeing Denver, hanging in Boulder and taking a pilgrimage to Fort Collins - the birth place of Ms. Dallas. The Rockies are pretty amazing. Miss my Brian, and was so good to see him and get to know his boy Brett.

Vancouver in August for PRIDE with Shane and Noel. The Canadian gays are crazier than us Seattlites. Yoo-hoo!!! Stayed in a lovely room at the 'Budget Patricia' in Chinatown (that was sarcasm)...maybe the name should've been the first hint? LOL. Then there was Noel at 3 in the morning craving Ketchup potato chips...oh dear. They're actually DAMN good, eh?!
By the end of September Noel and I were galavanting off to the United Kingdom where we hung in London for a week with a day trip to Canterbury in Kent. London soggy but fabulous, museums, tea time at the Tate Modern, the tube at midnight "Mind the Gap", pooping in the Opera house, stalking the memory of Princess Diana, 'Cabaret' on their Broadway (Picadilly) and the Queen... what more could you ask for? How about a 1000 year old Cathedral in Canterbury, the seat of the Anglican Church (think the Vatican City for the Church of England)? This is where Thomas Beckett was martyred...murdered!!! Oh and I cannot forget my/our hook up with my Vallarta BFF from Toronto, at a lovely pub north of Berkley Square just east of Hyde Park >>> that's us in the photo having 'Foster Tops' with a cute lassie from Sussex, Jackie <<<
On the way back from the UK, we stopped in Chicago for 3 days. Saw Oprah's old "house", Boeing's new "house", the Sears Tower, 'Wicked' on their Broadway, Wrigley's Stadium "go Cubs", Nordstrom on Michigan Avenue, the Bean (below), and my 20+ year dream to see the Art Institute of Chicago (see me swimming through Monet's waterlilies at the top right nav). Finally saw Seurat's "Un dimanche après-midi à l'Île de la Grande Jatte" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunday_Afternoon_on_the_Island_of_La_Grande_Jatte)I met Noel's Chicago buddies and I got to see more of his life, or a different part of what is Emmanuel Caraig. They are awesome, very welcoming Flip boys.

Yes, an amazing year...I could only hope every year has that many great trips.

Rosacea, Eczema, Migranes...OH MY!

Ok, I don't want my blog to be a place where I only kavech about things, atleast not about my problems, but kavech about all the other freaks out there...hee hee. But before I move on to talking about that freak on the bus, or the grouch puss at work, or the hot guy at Starbucks...I need to unload.

So the older I get the harder it is to stay in shape. I think everyone will agree about age. I have this 10 lbs that I can't seem to get rid of. 3.5 miles running and lifting weights 4 times a week, and walking everywhere including home from downtown to Queen Anne, doesn't seem to help, I guess it just keeps me at status quo. I suppose if I didn't excersize at all I'd be a big ole cow? MOOOOOOO!

My second personal observation/bitch is my damn skin. THANKS MOM! The older I get the worse my eczema has got. Break outs weekly...itch here, itch there....beyond annoying! My dermatologist, though hot, isn't very helpful, not that there is much he can do with my retarded skin. So I went back to him yesterday since twice in the last two months the area around my eyes and forehead have broken out puffy and red. I thought it was wine maybe, and he said "maybe...but do you eat alot of spicy foods?"...Yes I do doc, everyday! Wahhh. He said this looks like a classic case of Rosacea. ROSACEA! Great another skin condition. Wonder what this leprosy I have is all about...check this out: http://www.rosacea.org/index.php. So he put me on a strong tetracycline antibiotic and it is totally making me dizzy and nasea....

...but atleast my face is clearing up, and I look beautiful again! LOL.

Made it to the Blog world before 40...barely...

I am going to make this quick, since it is 11:52pm and I am needing to go to bed soon. After pairing a glass of Nigori unfiltered saki with my Trader Joe's shu mai, miso soup and bowl of romaine lettuce and red curry sauce...I have a slight buzz on, and am pooped after my normal 9 hour work day and then gym.

So what is this, the blog? I am pretty unacquainted with the concept and don't read others often. My friend Heidi is in Rotterdam currently and has inspired me. My lovely friend Juliana in Toronto had one when we lived in Puerto Vallarta together and now in Canada too, and I was always curious...what is this thing they call a blog? A diary? Another way to make a personal mark in this huge world? A little speck out there in the cyber world? A place where you may be "talking" to yourself or have an opportunity to "open up your diary" for all to read? It cracks me up that people share their sometimes mundane, nit-picky, non-life-changing experiences with who ever will read them. We are all human and I believe are all voyeurs in some way...I know I am! Who doesn't look at a car crash on the side of the road, or ease drop on a couple fighting on the bus or in the mall? We are only human. If no one reads this besides me, so be it. What a fun idea to just blab and share what I think may be important or atleast a tad funny. Life is funny. People are funny. I wouldn't say my glass is always half full, but I do like to try to take in the good things God brings us. One of my favorite movie lines is from the 'Color Purple'..."...I always said Miss Celie, I think God gets a little pissed off if you don't notice the color purple..." (she remarks as Shug and Celie are walking waist high throw a gorgeous field of purple poppies on a breezy summer's day). So talking about my friend Juliana, love her to pieces, her blog is hilarious...check it out: http://metro-goddess.blogspot.com/

Okay...I think Annabelle is telling me to get my ass to bed...

Love to all! Cheers!
