I am going to make this quick, since it is 11:52pm and I am needing to go to bed soon. After pairing a glass of Nigori unfiltered saki with my Trader Joe's shu mai, miso soup and bowl of romaine lettuce and red curry sauce...I have a slight buzz on, and am pooped after my normal 9 hour work day and then gym.
So what is this, the blog? I am pretty unacquainted with the concept and don't read others often. My friend Heidi is in Rotterdam currently and has inspired me. My lovely friend Juliana in Toronto had one when we lived in Puerto Vallarta together and now in Canada too, and I was always curious...what is this thing they call a blog? A diary? Another way to make a personal mark in this huge world? A little speck out there in the cyber world? A place where you may be "talking" to yourself or have an opportunity to "open up your diary" for all to read? It cracks me up that people share their sometimes mundane, nit-picky, non-life-changing experiences with who ever will read them. We are all human and I believe are all voyeurs in some way...I know I am! Who doesn't look at a car crash on the side of the road, or ease drop on a couple fighting on the bus or in the mall? We are only human. If no one reads this besides me, so be it. What a fun idea to just blab and share what I think may be important or atleast a tad funny. Life is funny. People are funny. I wouldn't say my glass is always half full, but I do like to try to take in the good things God brings us. One of my favorite movie lines is from the 'Color Purple'..."...I always said Miss Celie, I think God gets a little pissed off if you don't notice the color purple..." (she remarks as Shug and Celie are walking waist high throw a gorgeous field of purple poppies on a breezy summer's day).
